Braces / Invisalign

For the vast majority of orthodontic patients, wearing fixed appliances (commonly called braces) will be a major part of treatment — and those braces. Traditional-looking metal braces are no longer the only game in town! We have new options as well available in orthodontic appliances.

Bonding

Teeth bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material (a durable plastic material) is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately "bonds" the material to the tooth to restore or improve a person's smile.

Sleep Apnea / Mouth Guards

Oral appliances are devices put in the mouth to help keep a person’s airway open as they sleep. Because they help reduce physical blockages of the airway, oral appliances aren’t used to treat central sleep apnea (CSA).

Crowns & Bridgework

A tooth that has been structurally damaged by decay or trauma may need to be crowned or “capped” so that it can look good and function properly again. A crown is a durable covering that is custom-made to fit over the entire tooth from the gum line up. Crown fabrication traditionally takes two separate visits. But these days, there's a much more convenient alternative: same-day crowns that are made in the dental office.

Implants - Single and Multiple

The dental implant is today's state-of-the-art tooth replacement method. It consists of a very small titanium post (the actual implant), which is attached to a lifelike dental crown. The implant itself rests beneath your gum line in the bony socket that used to hold your missing tooth. Caring for implant teeth is no different than caring for your natural teeth.

Oral Health Screening

If there was a simple test that could give you an early warning about whether you're likely to have this disease, would you take it? The good news is — there is! Early detection has been shown to increase the survival rate of oral cancer to 80% or better, this test can truly save lives while getting regular dental checkups. An oral cancer examination is fast and painless.

Orthodontic Treatment

A great-looking smile can boost your self-confidence and have a positive impact on social and professional opportunities. Orthodontic treatment is the original smile makeover tool — and you will be happy to know that you're never too old to take advantage of it. But it isn't all about looks: Properly aligned teeth help you to bite, chew and even speak more effectively. They are also easier to clean, which helps keep your mouth free of tooth decay and gum disease.

Periodontal (Gum) Disease Treatment

It is not a given that we must lose teeth as we age. If we maintain good oral hygiene and have regular professional cleanings and oral examinations, chances are we can keep our natural teeth for life. Gum disease threatens these supporting tissues. When signs of trouble become apparent, periodontal therapy may be suggested.

Porcelain Veneers

These days, veneers can be made so thin that they can sometimes be bonded directly onto your existing tooth surface. In other cases, a very thin layer of tooth enamel — as thin as the veneer itself — needs to be removed to fit the new porcelain surface and make it look as lifelike as possible. Either way, the results are sure to make you smile.

Dentures / Implant Hybrid

Full or partial tooth loss, if left untreated can affect a person's self-image and increase the risk of developing nutritional problems and other systemic health disorders. Fortunately, there's a reliable and time-tested method for treating this condition: full or partial dentures. The best option for you will depend on your individual situation.

Teeth Cleanings

This is where dental health starts. There's just no substitute for physically removing disease-causing dental plaque and calculus (tartar) from your teeth — especially in hard-to-reach areas near the gum line. That's why regular professional cleanings are so important to your health.

Root Canals

A root canal procedure becomes necessary when infection or inflammation develops in the pulp tissue of the tooth. Pulp tissue consists of blood vessels, connective tissue and nerve cells — which explains why it may cause you to feel intense pain. In time, the pain may go away... at least temporarily. Without treatment, however, the infection won't. It can lead to a dental abscess, and may even contribute to systemic problems in other parts of the body.

Oral Surgery / Extractions

Fillings do just what the name implies — seal a small hole in your tooth, i.e., a cavity, caused by decay. This prevents the decay (a bacteria-induced infection) from spreading further into your tooth and, if untreated, continue on to the sensitive inner pulp (nerve) tissue located in the root canal. Should that happen, you would need root canal treatment. Extractions serve to remove unhealthy teeth  that cannot be saved.

CEREC

A crown is a type of dental restoration. It “caps” the entire tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Same-day CEREC crowns are different. CEREC is short for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. The name refers to the fact that the crown is made chairside in your dentist's office, without the need for a dental lab.

DENTAL SEALANTS

If you are susceptible to tooth decay, consider having a dental sealant applied. This is a practically invisible layer of plastic resin that is placed on the top (chewing) surfaces of the back teeth. It's a painless procedure that fills in the natural pits and folds of the tooth, making them much more resistant to bacterial damage.
